A Gunner is usually a very competitive person. Most uses are in the context of a highly competitive and sabotaging medical student.

For example, a medical student who claims he doesn't study and wants a non-competitive speciality like internal medicine while he is preparing for plastic surgery.

A gunner is a man who is in jail or prison who starts to masturbate and/or ejaculate while non-inmates, guards or visitors walk by his cell. Commonly referred to as being "retarded" or easily distracted by shinny objects. Typically make other jobs such as sensor operator, flight engineer, pilot, vehicle commander, driver, and fobbit look like little bitches.
