The systematic restriction of the rights of Americans granted by the 2nd Amendment in the name of reducing crime. Gun Control is traditionally practiced by liberals but the rising popularity of neo-conservatism is also putting gun control on the agenda for most "conservatives." Gun Control ranges from the simplest of gun registration to an outright ban on a specific type of gun or guns in general. Gun Control is often implimented shortly before a totalitarian leader begins opressing a groups of people (German Holocaust, Stalin's Russia, Pol Pot's Cambodia, Darfur etc).
The fact is that Gun Control does not work. Any time new gun control laws are passed, crime rates go up. Whenever gun control laws are repealed, crime rates go down or stay the same. The simple truth is that if guns are outlawed, then only outlaws will have guns. By definition, criminals (the group that gun control laws seem to attempt to disarm (in addition to the general public)), don't follow the law, thus making the gun control laws ineffective on them.

Never in the history of the United States (and most other countries for that matter) has a gun control policy decreased gun crime, gun injuries and/or gun deaths.

Gun control is the phenomenon that takes place whenever a gun is drawn and/or fired is any situation. No matter how tense the atmosphere may be as soon as the gun comes out everything will suddenly be under control. Also refers to the similar act of using the threat of or actual use of a gun in order to gain and maintain control of an individual.
I thought that bank robbery was gonna end with dead or at least injured hostages until I saw a guy in the crowd pull out two glock pistols and within three seconds flat everything was under control. When they got the robber outside they pulled a shotgun on him and he walked like a scared little girl right where they told him to. Amazing how quickly good gun control can change a situation.

The constitution says we have the right to bear arms. I firmly believe Gun Control should be reconsidered. Someone has to pull the trigger. And all Gun Control is doing is giving more guns to criminals.

The action of libtards, as triggered, forcefully stripping American citizens from using their god-given rights.

Regulations about who is allowed to own guns and under what conditions, much like how motorists, business owners, and government officials are bound by special rules. Anyone who believes that kids shall not own guns, that anyone who owns a firearm has to register the weapon, and in penalties for reckless trigger-happy individuals is in favor of gun control. It may very well be more popular with liberals, but in fact millions of conservatives agree with the need for some form of restraint, that guns should be harder to purchase than candy bars or clothing. People who claim to be against "gun control" may very well support the legislation but fight it just to protest the idea of government limiting personal freedom.
Advocating for gun control does not require one to call for a complete prohibition on firearm ownership, just for rules about guns that force owners to be wise and responsible.

Something that doesn't always mean taking away guns.
Gun control can mean a lot of things. It can be as simple as requiring guns that use a high-caliber ammunition to be stored in a locked safe, and it can be as complex as banning all guns. Forms of gun control also can be achieved without violating the Second Amendment. I do respect the right to keep and bear arms in the U.S, but the 2nd Amendment was written in 1791, where the deadliest guns were muskets, where the reload speed was very long because you had to ram a bullet and gunpowder down the barrel to load it.
My, how the times have changed.
In 2015, 265 kids who where holding a firearm shot someone accidentally. 83 people died as a result. A form of gun control could help fix this. 1.7 million kids live in a house where guns are stored loaded or not locked away. Requiring gun owners to remove all ammo before storing a gun, requiring some guns to be stored in a safe, and holding the owner of a gun responsible if a child is in possession of the gun(This is pretty much common sense) could reduce the number of accidental shootings in America.

Guns are also very accessible. You can buy them pretty much anywhere that isn't a convenience store, and for a cheap price. I don't see a lot of things wrong with that, but a lot of states require very little training before you're allowed to buy a gun. Some gun shows and online sellers don't even require background checks for you to purchase one. Requiring more training on handling and storing a gun and requiring background checks on every gun sale can help keep at least some guns out of the hands of potential murderers.
Gun control can be achieved without banning guns.

The Best idea America never passed. Common sense legislation that has repeatedly been blocked by the terrorist organization known as the NRA (National Rifle Association), a group much worse tha their sister group, the IRA (Irish Republican Army). Simply put, Gun control is the idea that psychopaths, neo-nazis, and other quote "american boy" groups shouldn't be allowed possesion of weapons like Ausalt Rifles, Flamethrowers, RPGs, Grenades, Sub-machine guns, Mini-guns, Sniper Rifles, high capacity magazines, and other weapons that would only make sense as the possesions of someone intent on mass murder or the establishment of a para-millitary force, like the NRA and IRA. Unfortunatly, these terrorists have managed to worm their way into the American government by convincing politicians that if they vote for gun control they'll be booted out of office. This is also one of the reasons that America is a laughing stock abroad, due to our lagging mental capacity in seeing that mass shootings couldn't happen without massive access to weapons, and our obsesion with the idea that everyone is going to drag an AK-47 and full boy armor around everywhere they go, and that his behavior is in some way normal. Yes, people kill people, but gun's help them do it.
No significant examples of gun control due to the actions of the NRA, but here are some things it could have helped prevent:
THE FORT HOOD SHOOTING
THE TUSCON SHOOTING OF SENATOR GABRIEL GIFFORDS
THE AURORA MASSACRE
THE SIEK TEMPLE SHOOTING
