Greenwald Projection Principle

Corollary of Godwin's Law; applies when, during the course of a disagreement, an individual or group is wrongfully accused of homophobia, toxic behavior, and/or anti-semitism by "journalist" Glenn Greenwald*; usually employed as an attempt to distract from any unpleasant but completely factual statements made by the accused referencing Greenwald. In all cases, Glenn's exercise of the principle means he has conceded the argument to the accused, since he is simply projecting his own flaws on to his interlocutor.

*While the GPP is primarily a personal tool of Greenwald's, it may be used by his supporters and/or sock puppet social media accounts. Women, especially BIPOC women, are the most frequent target.

Does not apply if the accusation is accurate. The GPP does not provide cover for bigots.

I simply pointed out how often he appears on Tucker Carlson's show, and Glenn immediately hit me with the Greenwald Projection Principle; I won the argument two sentences into it!

Greenwall Syndrome

Greenwall Syndrome is when a fan of the Call of Duty league franchise "OpTic Gaming" becomes so obsessed with the team that all logic flies out the window

Symptoms include:
Agreeing with everything an OpTic player says
Making awful excuses about why OpTic lost a game (eg. "It was Rigged!")
Arguing with anyone on twitter who says OpTic isn't the best

Greenwald

Verb.

Past tense: greenwalded. Past participle: greenwalded.

Definition:

To go out of your way to silence, harm and endanger a weaker person for the "crime" of expressing free thought - by way of grotesquely exploiting power & influence - and then to whine like a hypocritical little bitch when called out by everyone around you for the very same harm you've caused.

Example:
"Hey man, you remember how that rich, well-connected fuckface screamed 'censorship' after he pulled strings and got some lady fired, stalked and threatened just for commenting about feeling excited seeing the president arrive?"
"Yeah, I read about that dickless douchbag. He totally Greenwalded her."

When enviromental groups attempt to defame or financially or socially cause harm to anyone who disbelieves in global warming. Coined by the Cato Institute's Research Into Enviromental Studies.

That guy who works for the Weather Channel came out and said he thinks global warming is natural and the treehuggers greenballed the channel into firing him.
