Gorillaz 

Gorillaz is a SUPERGROUP, not just another random band. That means it is made up of distinguished artists and musicians that all have great careers and excellent reputations. The group is made up of artists from very different backgounds. Russell is Oakland rapper Del Tha Funkee homosapien who really is a tad geeky, but kicks major ass as an emcee. 2-D and Murdoc are both members of Blur. Last but not least Noodles is played by the lead singer of Cibbo Matto. The first album was produced by Dan the Automator who also produced Deltron 3030. Listen to "Time Keeps On Slipping" by deltron, you might notice a very similar style to the Gorillaz, right down to Damon Alabrns crooning and harmonica.

Lately the Gorillaz have made a combeack with the single "Feel Good Inc.". Their new album will be produced by Danger Mouse (of grey album fame) and rumor has it that del isn't on it, seeing how De La Soul has been doing the rapping on Feel Good Inc.

The animation is a gimmick, but the music is great no matter what. Groundbreaking stuff.

Gorillaz 

Gorillaz is a British pop supergroup consisting of several main singers and guset artists. It is a virtual band that uses the animated characters 2D, Russell, Murdoc and Noodle. The creators are Damon Albarn, former lead singer of Blur, and Jamie Hewlett, the cartoonist who created the Tank Girl comics. Dan "The Automator" Nakamura and Del Tha Funkee Homosapian of Deltron 3030. Dan and Del are both well-known hip-hop musicians. Gorillaz music spans a wide variety, including pop, hip-hop, rap, rock, reggae alternative, etc. Some of their songs have Latin-inspired rhythym. Instruments used include the guitar, keyboards, drums, violins, bass, organ, horns, and even piano. Many of their songs have deeper meanings than you might think, including modern issues such as gun violence, drugs, sex, pollution, the war in Iraq, death, religion, terrorism, and racism. Gorillaz music is highly addictive and best taken in large doses.

Gorillaz' song "Feel Good, Inc." is a popular song heard on the radio. Their song "Clint Eastwood" is also played on the radio.

With lead singer Damon Albarn, this badass band is the best. Their songs are absolutely amazing. Damon Albarn was also the singer for Blur, so you know they're good. Kids nowadays are too busy listening to the new garbage to even think about them.

Gorillaz 

Gorillaz is composed of four fictitious members: 2-D, Murdoc, Russel, and Noodle. They are a dominantly rock band, but most of the singles they release are hip-hop. It was created by Jamie Hewlett of Tank Girl fame, and Damon Albarn of the band Blur. Many talented people are involved in the creation of their music, thus giving it an entirely unique sound. Influenced by everything from reggae to punk to Terry Hall and Darth Vader, the band has once again reached the chart tops with their latest effort, Demon Days. They are the ultimate manufactured pop band.
