unfortunate physical state of a person who has multiple medical problems and no hope of recovery or meaningful life. their activity is usually nothing more than laying in a hospital bed as a rotting, dying sack of flesh. gomertose individuals usually have large families, all of whom visit at the time of impending patient death, only to cry out "aye ya ya...please do everything to keep him alive!!!" this essentially denies the patient a dignified death, and condemns them to a slow, torcherous prolonged demise.

"the poor old lady in bed 4 is unresponsive, on life support, and has constant tube feeding shits. she's gomertose, and the family won't sign a DNR."

Gomer Pyle

Named after Private Pyle in Full Metal Jacket, this type of recruit makes you wonder "how the fuck did this kid get recruited?" Usually, these types of folk join the service due to years of bullying and abuse for their weight or other issues. Most likely they may be partially or completely unable to perform basic tasks such as putting their own uniform on or improper use of firearms, making them a liability to their squad.

Private Cash "Did you see that Gomer Pyle trying to catch butterflies at the shooting range last night?"

Private Doug "If you think that's bad he almost shot the Sarge cause he didn't know how to put the safety on."

Private Cash "God damn, they should just do him a favor and ship his ass back home."

pickup truck gomer

A tall, hunched over hayssed yokel type, a simpleton who is basically a doofis, who drives a pickup truck, and thinks he is really cool, although in reality is a total dork.

The Pickup Truck Gomer thought everyone believed he was cool, but instead they all laughed at him behind his back and viewed him as an overly tall, doofis, noodle-head, and simpleton in a stupid pickup truck that he never used for any real pickup truck type work.

Danny Glover Defence

The sequence in movies where a person getting shot at procedes to take cover behind a thinner object than him/herself ie a lamp post, thin pillar etc, and parts of the person are sticking out either side, yet they still manage to avoid getting shot. (as seen in the first Saw movie and several bugs bunny cartoons.)
