Get the Gamesmanship mug.A YouTube genre originating from the UK that began in 2023. Being pioneered by YouTuber's such as Flyingtoyota and redlight, the genre is characterised by uniquely comical, often times cynical commentary played over sped up footage of a game. The videos are usually centred around that game in question, and YouTuber's like Flyingtoyota have used the genre to create their own story overtop of the game. Videos in this genre tend to make references to British culture (mostly negative comments) for comedic effect. The editing can at times be unpolished, this being another characteristic. Creators like WayVegas have begun to merge the genre with others, like a traditional video essay.
