a fauxmo. a hair cut. modeled on dumbed down version of 1980's moehawkes. hair that is pushed into a styled moehawke. aka old skool david beckham. fauxmo's are particulary common within the metrosexual and lesbian communities.

A combination of the words faux and emo. Used to describe people who try to act emo, but certainly fall short. Hence, fake emo, fauxmo.

Fauxmo

A straight person who is friends with a lot of gay people (the majority their friends are gay), and they also advocate for gay/lesbian rights. They typically prefer homosexual friends, and have no fear of the social stigma.

That person only dates the opposite gender, but they have a lot of gay/lesbian friends that they spend most of their time with. (Some people might think a Fauxmo person is gay). Due to their association.
