an extreme act of devastation. it's so devastating that there's no reason to finish the 'shun' syllable.

This applies to any other word that ends in -ation. (ie. exterminaysh, masturbaysh, etc).

you are winning easily in a game of some sort, and the opponent miraculously comes from behind and wins. that's devastaysh.
