cube cruising

Similar to cube crawling, but different enough to have a distinct entry. Cube cruising is when a person spends a significant portion of the work day visiting cubes and chit-chatting about any and every thing.

Cube cruisers either have too little work to do, or they simply don't care if their low productivity causes a bottleneck in the office.

Jill began her cube cruising circuit at approximately 8:15 every morning.

cruisin for a bruisin

Refers to an individual who is on the path to physical harm, often leading to bruising. Often times this individual may have no idea that harm is imminent. The harm is usually initiated by the future vicitm of that harm, and is often deserved. Feelings of extreme gratification can be felt for the individual inflicting the bruising.

My little brother stole my yankee cap twice yesterday. I told him that he was cruisin for a bruisin. Today he stole it again and I fed it to him. He's still crying but man did it feel good.

Smartphone Cruising

When someone peppers their Facebook updates around the time they go to, and come back from work - they are 'Smartphone Cruising'.

They're looking for an excuse to pull out their new iPhone/Nexus to show off to everyone in the carriage that they have a Bleeding Edge phone/cell.

They have no friends, but hundreds of Facebook Friends - so updating your status gives a 'Smartphone Cruiser' something to do with their gadget.

Usually practised by male Uber geeks, of The Great Unwashed variety. In the mistaken and laughable belief that women will become aroused.

(They won't).

George: Hey! Melvin is spamming my Facebook feed with his updates again.
Mike: On his way to work?
George: I guess...
Mike: He's showboating his iPhone - y'know, 'Smartphone Cruising'?
George: Uh. True!
