1.(v) Word used by incompetent (and typically of Mexican heritage) med-school students to describe the managing of financial records or the arrangement of literature. Often confused with bookkeeping by those who use it.
2.(v) The keeping of boo by someone, typically the Ghostbusters or Michael J. Fox.

Pronounced Boo-Key. A term used to describe someone's own humiliation in a light hearted, non-malicious manner. Also, the bookee can be defined as proving someone wrong. (Calling someone out on their mistakes)

She hurried home to watch her favorite show, only to realize she didn't pay her cable bill and it was cut off. Bookee on her!

Bob called his ex wife to let her know, to keep her water dripping so her pipes didn't freeze. Little did he know, her pipes were busted last week by the neighbor. Bookee on him!

bookkeeping misadventure

When a business owner has shotty bookkeeping skills and claims you owe him money. This can be accidental or purposeful (most misadventures are in fact accidental)...but if done purposefully, it can be disguised as some sort of mistake. However the intention, the customer will never be fully trusting of said owner ever again.

A business owner claimed he had not received money that I gave him because he didn't write it in his book. After I showed the canceled check, he merely stated that it just wasn't in the book. This is a bookkeeping misadventure.
