boast

Previously defined in Merriam-Webster's Unabridged Dictionary as "to say or tell something to give others a high opinion of one." It applies to Urban Dictionary in the sense of many useless humans attempting to make new terms in the form of their own names and typing in useless comments about themselves. One can only guess that they do this in order to receive validation and/or seek validation by the rest of the population.

Sarah had such piss-poor self-esteem that she had to go on a what was once good site like Urban Dictionary to boast about herself and make others think she is actually a decent human.

Often used with ratio.
Balance of roasting someone with also showing them off some to build them up.

"You look pretty for someone who cooks chicken in the oven with little to no seasoning."

Boast-it note

A detailed letter that accompanies a Christmas card. The sole purpose of the note is to boast about the sender's family. Usually plagued with unnecessary exclamation marks and unwanted particulars about said family, the boast-it note is the bane of the festive season post.

Mrs B: You ok honey?
Mr B: Damn no! Just read Gina's card . Her kids are both crackwhores and somehow still child prodigies apparently...I just...don't...get it...why???? *breaks down in tears*
Mrs B: Don't take it seriously darling. It's just her annual boast-it note.
