A manga that is well known for its wacky characters, intense action sequences, and insane plot lines. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, written by Hirohiko Araki, is a seven part series that gained most of its popularity in the 90s and is the second longest running manga to date (over 100 volumes and counting).
The story revolves around a protagonist, who has the syllable "jo" in his first and last name, who has to kill an immortal evil that threatens mankind (vampires, gods, ex.) . The series is best known for its references to popular music in America, most of which are the names of characters in the series. Suzi Q, Vanilla Ice, White Snake, ZZ Top, Lisa Lisa, the list goes on.
Today the only thing people remember about Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is Dio Brando crushing the shit out of Jotaro with a steam roller while yelling "WRYYY" which is ultimately the best scene in the series but keeps would-be fans from reading anything else in the story.
Anyone new to reading manga or in need of a good classic series should read this.

Of all the volumes in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Volumes 5-12 are my personal favorite. The plot circulates around three gods named Wham, ACDC, and Cars. The protagonist, named Joseph Joestar, teams up with a french man who kills people with soap bubbles and a nazi with a machine gun coming out of his chest to defeat them! I don't remember the rest but you should read it...its that awesome!

In 2007, they released Final Attraction, their debut album. In 2008, Luminor had to leave due to personal problems. They had Romeo, Yu's friend, take his place. In 2009, they released an EP with Space Cowboy titled "I Came 2 Party." Following that was their second studio album Toyz, which held the sublime message that we are all "ToyZ." In January of 2010, the band announced their hiatus, with hope of a return. Yu Phoenix and Romeo (Nightingale) are in a band named Rogue Morgue. Kiro and Shin are currently in a DJ set. Luminor had a collaboration with Nik Page and another with a band named DNR, but is currently not doing anything.
Their names are from various things. Strify: Yu nicknamed him “Cloud Strife” because of his Final Fantasy addiction. Yu: A friend nicknamed him Yukito which was later shortened to Yuki, and then finally Yu. Luminor: Luminor is the male form of 'Lumina' which means Moonlight. Kiro: Strify has a monkey named Siro, and Kiro’s real name starts with K. Shin: One of his major influences is Japanese rocker Shinya. I truthfully don’t know about Romeo.
Strify, Kiro, and Yu is bisexual. Shin doesn’t like to talk about it. Romeo is straight. Luminor’s sexuality is unknown.
