Beaten up by excessive, in your face, unrelenting, and distressing news stories. In just one day, a person is inundated with news stories from the internet, radio, TV, and friends and family. The ending result is an unwanted feeling of being beaten or punched in the face over and over and over.
News-Beaten: I'm tired of being news- beaten by these stressful news stories about for example COVID-19 or divisive politics.

I like hanging out at this pub once in a while after work. It's off the beaten path and I get a chance to relax for a while.
