To take something cheap and make and accessorize and dress it up, ie. alter it in some way, to make it look like the very cute, but expensive store, Anthropologie.

Officially this is the study of the definition of humanity. But actually, it's the official means to deny the continuing evolution of humans into distinct, competing species.

a new sub-branch of cultural anthropology
ethnocultural neo-anthropology should be devoted to answering the sole question of whether or not decolonized people in Third World countries can, without either immigrating to the Western World or financial help from the United Nations, historically, economically, and socially develop along Western lines using their own cultural and religious markers that they had prior to the beginnings of colonialism, i.e. prior to 1469 (the marriage of Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castille. I think the answer is yes.
