Californian

A person that lives in California. Californians are typically pretentious and the stereotypes run deeper than most realize.

They boast about being cultured for where they live but culture comes from outside of the U.S.. If you've traveled the world, I would love to hear what you've learned about other cultures.

Do not expect a Californian to hold the door for you (or even give it that little push); they will let it slam every time. If someone holds a door, ask them where they're from.

Californians are also very strict with rules and regulations. They take the little things far too seriously.

Similarly, Californians are not into dry humor. Perhaps that is because many of them have learned English as a second language.

Me: Hey man, so I asked this guy, "What time is it?" and he said he didn't know. It's a tough question.
Californian: Actually, it's pretty easy. Maybe he didn't have a watch...

One who has lived or spent sufficient time in The Golden State to have been indoctrinated, conditioned, accustomed, habituated, etc., to the mind set, idiosyncrasies, peculiarities, moral attributes or lack thereof, etc., of that region's ethics, cultures, standards, etc.

After he had come home from 2 years of trying to make a name for himself in Hollywood, all of his family and friends could tell he had been californified beyond any hope of restoration to his previous wholesome, caring, selfless self.

Californication

When people from California move to the states (usually in droves) and buy up all the land/businesses, raise the price of housing, overcrowd the state, and overall raping of the culture of the state.
Also bringing their crappy ideals/slang/accent/etc and try to force it on natives of the state they moved to while still saying "Well in California (insert crap spewing here) to which I reply (and recommend you to do) "Well go back to California then asshat!"
And lets not forget the ones who buy out a shitload of acreage build a big ass ugly house on it and still only live in it part of the year and spend the rest of the year in California.

The migration of people from California to other states to look for cheaper housing, better morals, lack of gangs/drugs/prostitution, etc., but bring their own lack of morals, drive up house prices, and bring gangs/drugs/prostitution to the other states.

The californication of Utah, Arizona, Oregon, and Idaho has escalated in the last 10 years. Why doesn't California do us a favor and just sink into the ocean?
