PROXY (software)

PROXY is a licensed software product made by PROXY Networks. Besides being utterly stupid to name any software "proxy" (more widely known as being something completely different in IT networking), the product still looks like it's from Windows 95 and handles more or less to that capacity.

It's complete crap

Idiot help desk tech: My IT shop uses PROXY (software) for remote connections to manage our infrastructure.

Network tech: Wait, why are you using a network proxy for something you need to access remotely?

Every other IT professional: PROXY sucks, use something... literally ANYTHING else.

When my boss constantly assigns me high-profile projects but never offers any support or guidance, it feels like he's practicing ambition by proxy, wanting the glory without putting in the work.

You know when your wife comes up with ideas for projects for you to do but doesn't plan on helping at all? That's ambition by proxy.
