1. a phrase people say when they actually mean something that might have come off a bit sarcastic.
2. a phrase that can be added to the end of a statement when a person seriously means what they're saying
1. "i've been thinking about sellling my car haha.. but really, i need the money"
2. "Oh my god, sometimes i just want to shoot her. But Really! She can't keep her mouth shut!"

Really?

A brief yet unoriginal way to question the integrity of a person or an act. Implies "I'm so unimpressed with this, and disappointed in you for doing such a thing." Appears on social networking sites as a way for people to share news on something that has happened in the world and state their opinion on it, but without going to the trouble of elaborating.

Perhaps a byproduct of a world with too much quick access to information, the necessity of forming quick opinions about such information, and the lack of any obligation to defend these opinions.
