Bystanders Paranoia

To feel fear, or to feel threatened, from a situation that you have little control over or that you are not directly affected by. The overwhelming fear is usually not caused by the situation itself but by people exaggerating information to make you obsess over what's going on.

Bystanders Paranoia (or Citizens Paranoia) is different from feeling legitimate fear for yourself and your loved ones due to an outside force that has a significant of hurting you.

Bystanders Paranoia is fear that is, most of the time, brought on by political discourse, in which news sources and journalists over-hype to get you to feel more dependent on said news sources.

The fear will then cause the affected to spend every moment of their time focusing on nothing but how the news tells them to feel about the situation, afraid and unsafe.

Those affected by Bystanders Paranoia will be unable to recognize that the people telling them these stories are only manipulating their fear to get them to listen to more monotonous, disingenuous reports on the situation.
Boy 1: I'm kind of worried about Leann, she been doing nothing but watching CNN and reading ABC News for days. She always seems like she's terrified of something.
Girl 1: I think those news channels gave her Bystanders Paranoia. Poor thing.
Boy 2: I fucking hate journalists. All of them are fags.

acute Sunday paranoia

A temporary but intense feeling of anxiety, dread, or irrational fear that occurs specifically on Sunday, often in anticipation of the upcoming week. This phenomenon can be linked to the "Sunday Scaries" but is characterized by heightened paranoia, such as excessive worry about work, social interactions, or personal responsibilities. Symptoms may include intrusive thoughts, overanalyzing past or future events, and a sense of impending doom that fades once Monday begins or responsibilities are actively confronted.

White Conservative Paranoia

A mental condition found in a subset of white conservatives characterized by delusions of persecution, unwarranted jealousy, complete disregard of their own hypocrisy, an oddly intense hatred for the state of California, or exaggerated self-importance especially about current political issues.

Examples of someone with White Conservative Paranoia (or WCP) may include but is not limited to:

Conservatives today are the modern day Jew. We will be rounded up and killed. I’ve read Mein Kampf.”(delusions of persecution).

“CALIFORNIA SUCKS AND I LIVE IN THE BETTER STATE OF ALABAMA.”(Unwarranted jealousy and odd hatred for California)

“All the damn liberals are taking my hard earned tax dollars and giving them to the poor and lazy!” (This is being said while receiving unemployment checks and/or other forms of welfare) (disregard of their own hypocrisy)

“There’s no way I’m getting an experimental vaccine so the government can inject me with a GPS tracker and control me!” (Exaggeration of self-importance)

The need to repeatedly express on social media their fear of being persecuted and why they can’t understand how no one else sees their Holocaust is about to occur.

Disclaimer* although WCP is found in a minority of white conservatives, those with this condition are the most vocal.

We wish all those with this condition a speedy recovery.
Jerry is in constant fear of his life because he believes the government is trying to make him infertile through the radiation emitted from cell phone towers developed by the communists in California. He has a severe case of White Conservative Paranoia (or WCP).

Paranoia

A conversational roll playing game back in the 1990s. What geeks played when they were feeling a little board with AD&D and just wanted a chance to play evil in game pranks on thier friends. Game setting takes place in a vast underground city after the great nuclear war. Players make clone characters in a darkly humurous marchivellian world.
Paranoia is the best game to play in Alpha Complex. The computer says so. You aren't questioning the computer are you?
