Has a high change to be permanently closed if you paused your visit for too long at an unspecified period, or the branches are already permanently closed in some places

"I got a discount voucher from my favourite payment app loyalty for a little obscure restaurant and when I visited, unfortunately the branch I visited was permanently closed and a new tenant replaced them. It was a desperate promo"

Maybe Promise

The type of promise that comes from politicians or anybody on the the internet. Its a promise that has about a 50/50 chance of becoming true, usually when the promiser either will only complete their promise if they feel like it later, or when they are secretly hoping that the person/people they are promising will forget about the promise. Maybe Promises most commonly come from YouTubers, Redditors, or people named Casey. The chances of them completing the promise usually increase dramatically once the person/people they promised have the balls to pressure them, after they come to the realization that they are experiencing a Maybe Promise.

Annoying Minecraft YouTuber: GUYS IF THIS VIDEO REACHES 10K LIKES I PROMISE I WILL LIVESTREAM ME BEATING MINECRAFT ON HARDCORE MODE!!1!

Welsch promise

Old Welsch custom of giving a gift of food with one serving missing.
The “Promise” of the gesture was that this gift would not be given if it were not at least good enough for the person giving the gift. The missing serving was presumed to be used to confirm the quality of the item and evaluate possible improvements.
The custom is thought to have originated in the mid-seventeenth century.

We did not understand why our Thanksgiving turkey only had one wing until my grandfather explained the custom of the Welsch promise, and it’s purpose of honoring his guests.
