1993. The 'Golden Era' of Hip Hop revolves around this year. Before 2000 it was common for rappers to reference the current year on an album, and many of the important albums from this year cite the 'Nine Tre'.
"I don't wanna say Nine-Tre cause my man Extra P said don't say the years... So, it's for eternity, know what I'm sayin?" --Q-Tip, 'The Chase pt. II' from Midnight Marauders

1) A typical ending to a brainless teenage girls' photo album, such as "Summmer 0999" or " City with the bfffs 09". Because of this, it has now become a common phrase used to bash popular culture that constantly refers to the year 2009. It works best as a sassy ending to a statement, and should usually be used in tandem with a peace sign held uncomfortably close to the face.
Colin: "Hey, what are you doin today?"
Eddie:" Endless amounts of college stuff.....OH nine!!
or
Colin: Margie that food looks sooo good!
Margie: Yayy overweight!
Colin: Oh nine?
MArgie: hahaha yes.

A term used to describe how fast you are driving when you are running well over the legal speed limit.
Mark and Todd were running Mach Nine on Highway 12 while they were wipping kittys and downing Coors light!
Mike and Bobby had to rip it up to Mach Nine to out run the County Mounty on the back way to the lake the other night to go drag racing!

The Chicago Cubs. Aptly named due to the club's home on the north side of Chicago, and the nine players they field each inning.

A little foam ring that was put around the number nine on older cellphones, before we used flip-phones.
This was used to avoid accidentally calling 911 while the phone was in your pocket.
Fire stations used to give them out for free.
