Jaksel is basically a bunch of South Jakarta kids and expat-inspired sellouts (yeah, “sel” = sellout) who live for coffeepots like Blok M, flexing their fits in Instagram interviews, and talking skena culture like experts. They mix Bahasa and English so hard even Indo cross-culturals get labeled Jaksel just for saying “literally.” They play “kapan padel” — basically Indonesia’s cheaper, confused cousin of pickleball, because nobody actually eats pickles in a daily basis here.
Welcome to Jaksel: where selling out is a lifestyle and hype is currency.
“Bro, saya skrg di jaksel, gue lagi interview fit di Blok M dekat saltbread. Kapan padel after? Rent? Chill lah.”
Someone who hides there emotions and who they are fairly well. They are very extroverted non of the less, but have trouble getting accepted by other people for how loud and happy she gets. She strives for kindness and smiles at everyone. She's the type of girl to cry when she sees a older person sitting alone. She envys many people, and doesn't quite see beauty in herself.
