Table Texting

When people covertly (or not) text message someone in their immediate vicinity because they are lazy, strange, or don't want other people knowing what they're talking about. - Most often noticed occurring in restaurants after the clubs/bars close (like iHop, Denny's, Truck Stop, etc...)

I can't believe Robert is texting that girl sitting across the table from him, instead of just talking to her. But remember, he is the King of Table Texting.

Asshole Texting

When someone is constantly sending picture messages involving porn of some sort or other annoying cell phone picture joke, audio file, or text joke about the recipient being retarded. These messages are often sent in multiples and clog your cell phone's memory. Sure sign of boredom but an even surer sign of a moron who can't think of anything to say worth while. Can often lead to cell phones being shut off or angry rants by people who can't stand it anymore.

"Dammit!... this is the tenth time I've gotten this picture message of a naked midget being tossed around like a volleyball by naked Germans."

"Dude looks like you're a victim of asshole texting."

Textican Standoff

This is when two parties (most often a couple) find themselves in a heightened state of readiness whereby both eagerly await a text message from one another while each is simultaneously unwilling to send one. Often, the first to cave is perceived as being a weak, ineffectual, or submissive.

bystander one:
wow, have they been like this all day?

bystander two:
Yes, each of them is poised to hit send...but...well, you know...

bystander one:
Sí, Sí. They've got themselves a Textican Standoff.

People who text each other alot. They are close and text each other everything when it happens. Texting buddies are the first ones to know what is going on and to help with boredom.
