The word "podcast" was invented by famous writer and singer James Wayne. He came up with the word when he was smoking weed - also referred to as "pot". It is a combination of the word "pot" and "broadcast", but James decided it looks better as "podcast" with a "d" instead of a "t".

James: "Hey, E. Let's make a podcast?"
E: "A what?"
James: "Exactly."

Broadcasting

When someone talks business absurdly loud on a phone call in public like in an office, hallway, coffee shop, restaurant, etc. Blue tooth or ear buds is commonly involved with this phenomenon as well.

I couldn't get any work done because Babs was broadcasting around the office the whole time.
