Onshe

Onshe (Also pronounced Onsh) is a slang term for a male that is currently in the process of transitioning to female. They are obviously huge advocates for transgender rights and being called an "Onshe" is like a badge of honor for trans people.

The word can also be used as a verb - replacing the word "transitioning" when speaking of gender reassignment surgery.

Mary: "Hey did you see that powerful Onshe getting her first COVID vaccine shot?"
Tim: "I did - She's extremely brave for transitioning and smart for receiving the vaccine."

Tom: "Greg! It's great to see you again. I haven't seen you since high school - what have you been up to?"
Greg: "I'm actually in the process of onshing right now. This time next month I'll finally be the woman I always dreamed of"

Delayed Onset Snowness

Like delayed onset soreness, the lower back and other pain in the days after moving copious amounts of snow off of sidewalks, cars, etc.

After hours of shoveling yesterday, delayed onset snowness is making my lower back squeal like a pig.

Onset

was developed in the 1880s as a summer camp meeting for Spiritualists. Many of the cottages still standing in Onset were built as second homes for individuals from Boston and other northeastern cities who gathered to hear mediums communicate with the dead.
