frienting

A relationship that is aiming for more than friendship but still has not met the dating phrase-- its like dating without commitment and little, if any, serious DTRs (defining the relationship). You don't date a "frient"---you hang out.

Because of the lack of commitment, you cannot cheat if you are only frienting.

We both seem to know we like each other but we haven't moved past frienting yet.

That was such a "friendnightstand" , I do not remember that guys name but he came and drank all the booze at the after party and left without saying a word.
