Jumping The Dog

A slang idiom meaning to unintentionally or recklessly cause someone’s death; manslaughter. Often used in casual conversation as a figurative or euphemistic way to describe a fatal accident or negligent killing.

Example 1:
"I can’t believe what happened last night… the guy totally jumped the dog, and now he’s in serious trouble."

Example 2:
"They’re saying it was an accident, but it still counts as jumping the dog. Tragic."

Example 3:
"Man, I heard about that fight… someone really jumped the dog over there. Crazy."

Jump promote

• When a promotional company purposely tries to overshadow a competitor by offering there service's before there competitor in order to sway business there way

• When a promotional company offers there service's before there competitor without sufficient promotional backing to spite there competitor

The term is coined from 'jump the gun' which is a term used when an individual acts before the proper or appropriate time

It is not illegal but is not a desirable trait as a businessman and may deter other businessman from dealing with you and can be seen as a snake move

I think they're trying to 'jump promote' me to steal my customers

Jumping Jack Candidate

Someone who jump from constituency to constituency (that they have no connection to) every time they lose their seat just so they can get re-elected to office instead of remaining in their original constituency and getting re-elected for that seat when the time comes.
