A method used by London gangsters to scar up their victims. A cut is made at the edge of both sides of the mouth then the victim is kicked in the groin very hard. As he screams the flesh on both cheeks are ripped apart leaving terrible scaring.

something that is five to eight is something that is slim, literally (a tie-where it originated), figuratively (chances, the likelihood, etc.), generally unlikely or only slightly likely. the term derives from the time 7:55, or five to eight, when the chances of getting to 8 o'clock class in time are very slim/uncertain.
