In short these are ear buds. Someone who listens to music with a passion may find themselves exclame about how much they love their "ear buddies". At first peole will call that person crazy, and freak out. They probably think that they are smuggling midget terrorists in their ears, and the "go" words are "i love my ear buddies". The thing about terrorists is not true.So don't go home and droppkick your grand mother, just kindly tell her of her mistake.
"Thanks for the i-pod (insert name here)i think its so great, and i just love my ear buddies"

What you happily describe someone's voice as when you've been trying to reach him on the phone for a while; it's the "auditory equivalent" of what you say when you finally meet up with someone whom you've either been worried about, been waiting anxiously for, or haven't seen for a good while.
After many tries, I was finally able to speak to my buddy on da horn after his having been repeatedly in and out of da house over da past week to run some urgent/unexpected errands; his cheery and slightly-apologetic voice sure was a sound for sore ears!
