An instance of someone fixated on teaching you how to play a video game. This behavior includes bragging and showing you how to play the game the way they like. Those who "tip" act like they know everything about the game and are better at it than you. "Tippers" are also usually known for being obsessed with teaching you. They usually won't shut up about how you're doing it wrong until you stuff napkins in their mouths.

"I am so glad my brother isn't playing Mario Kart with us right now. That idiot keeps tipping me on how to play the game and he doesn't even know half the shortcuts in the game."
