Chris is a bum he sits in his moms back yard all day long with no ride or job.

Bum-some one who does nothing all day but expect people to bend over backwards.The first to have their hands out sits at home or in the streets all day bums usually don't have a place of their own no job,car,or money they think these things will fall out t of the sky.

Bum

A person who is beyond lazy and spends most of their day either sleeping, or playing video games. This person usually has everything handed to them and never works for anything that they have. This type of person rarely cleans up after themselves, and when they are hungry and need to cook, this person will most likely just eat cereal. Bums are usually the ones who are in complete denial of being one, that they call others "bums"

John: hey man would you like to study together for our exam coming up?
Joe: No man I'll just do it the day before.
Joe is being a bum

Joe then plays his favorite video game...

Bum

Derivate from the Word "bumm!", the german version of "boom!" which (the german version of course) is widely used in the translation of comics by Carl Barks.

The derivate "bum!" is to be found in abundance in comics by Katz&Goldt, two cartoon superstars from Germany. Using the word in german comics provides a intellectual tongue-in-cheek connotation to all those notorious Donald Duck books.
