sales associate

A person that has joined a company or work force to deliberately help the sales of the said company. Tasks, assignments, and jobs are given to the person throughout the day to complete as well as dealing with customer's and customer service.

The main goal for a sales associate is to leave a lasting impression towards the customer and let them feel like they are welcome back at anytime. If the customer is happy, chances are, the company will be as well.

Bob was hired as a sales associate at his job to help customer's shopping in their store.

Usually uttered in an uncomplimentary context, where the speaker feels revulsion or disgust, or is upset with the loose-tongued “reporter” for not having more discretion in what details he is choosing to divulge.
