Culturally important, musically decent band with a shit fanbase full of uninformed ignorant twats and philistines who spend their time comparing their work to Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. Social phenomena mistaken for genius. The marketing was genius, that's about it.

The Beatles 

Four exceptional musicians who met in the right place at the right time to define that place and time like no other. Although they had the most ordinary of origins, they managed to command an other-worldy grandeur, with countless academics trying in vain to define why their impact was so meteoric. They were managed by Brian Epstein, and their music was both artistically versatile and commercially viable exploring a multitude of genres.

As a group they pushed the boundaries of what music could be by breaking down traditional stereotypes through relentess experimentation encouraged by producer George Martin. They also created what is widely regarded to be their greatest album and to an extent the greatest album of all time, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Their overall influence is messianic- at the time their influence extended into the social and cultural mores of the 1960's, however subsequent releases of their existing material have yielded new generations of fans ever since, and will hopefully continue to do so :)

The best band to ever walk earth.After I heard one song or theirs I realised that this is the best band Ill ever listen to.Sad that other people cant appreciate their music.Its all I ever listen to now.Even though Im only 14 I can say The Beatles are the best band ever.

The Beatles 

The Beatles are one of the most influential bands in the history of popular music. Their melodies bring people happiness, as do the hearts of the four young men the band consisted of. They swept an entire generation off their feet and their presence continues to be felt. Not much else needs to be said that hasn't already been said.

If you're not a Beatles fan (and hardcore about it), don't treat them like they're something evil, because they aren't. The music is separate from the actions of the band. Sometimes they did wrong and stupid things, but so does everybody else in the world. Most of their songs were harmless and about good things. Just see the music as something that's not for you and don't spoil other people's joy by throwing a fit over how much you dislike the Beatles.

Now, a critique for mega-Beatles fans. Never make the coked-up assumption that kids who listen to modern music are completely against the Beatles and other influential artists. I will admit to liking dozens of modern artists usually bashed by oldies/classic rock-purists, but I still think all of the influential musicians of the past are at the top. I have a lot of friends who appreciate classic music even if it may not be their preferred style.

The Beatles 

A band I find to be one of the best bands in history. I understand why some may not like them, especially those who like metal.

Comprised of John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and Paul McCartney, this band took rock and pop to a whole new level in the 60's, 70's and 80's. They're one of the most known names in music.
