High Altitude Gas Syndrome - the onslaught of farts and burps you get when you travel briefly to a high altitude locale, as with a weekend ski trip. is it brought on by the rapid shift in altitude? the tequila you stayed up all night drinking at the poker table? the crappy resort food? nobody knows for sure, but when you rattle the entire chairlift with a big honking fart for the TENTH time in a day, you can chalk it up to HAGS.
