When you are walking with a person, usually in a crowd or with other people around, and you semi-turn and start to say something to them, only to realise they are either not there or someone else is instead. Leads to an often embarrasing cover-up or apology.

Hutch: Well Sonny I says I says....by the way did you.....
Random: what?
Hutch: Oh....sorry....i thought you were someone else.....just a geverette sorry

ie; Grover: Hey, did you know that the earth is flat?

Dan: No its not; its round!

Grover Lie: What are you talking about; my dad tried to sail around the world and fell off the side.

Dude, last night I was pouring a drink when Lucas started gerverspating on me. It was so creepy, I could feel his breath on my neck. I can't believe he would gerverspate so obviously like that. Gross.
