Nostalgia Bait

Pulling in old characters/concepts and ideas from classic movies/tv shows and putting them into new media to sucker in their fans and to make them believe something is "good" because the familiar is there.

Person 1: Wow, Star Wars Rogue One is so good. I clapped and cheered when Darth Vader showed up. R2 D2 and C3po also appeared and therefor this is good Star Wars Content.

Person 2: I can't believe you fell for the Nostalgia Bait.

Pig Bait

n. a term used to describe any driver traveling at a higher rate of speed than you while you are driveng faster than the speed limit. In doing so the other driver is protecting you from a speeding ticket by taking it upon him/herself.

Sally: Honey, slow down! you're doing 70 in a 55!
Tom: Don't worry with that Pig Bait up ahead the fuzz will have their hands full. Thank you Pig Bait.

wallet bait

When an advert (online or offline) or a general public marketing stunt involves a rather attractive and bewitching female to stimulate either:

a) enough interest that you will click the advert (online) or visit their site (offline).

and/or

b) interest in buying their product(s).

Sometimes the link between the attractive woman and the actual product can be ridiculously tenuous.

"Those Facebook ads with that cute chick on are total wallet bait. The service itself sucks!"

"Dude convention girls are such wallet bait, I spent 20 minutes chatting to 'Jenny', I don't even *like* cars."
