Written with a hyphen, the phrase author-cast refers to the author's equivalent of a fancast. It is the practice of casting celebrities as characters in your book. Originated in the fanfic-writing community and is very prevalent on Wattpad. However, there is still an issue with representation in author-casts.

Get the Author-Castmug. A start of authority (SOA) record is information stored in a domain name system (DNS) zone about that zone and about other DNS records. A DNS zone is the part of a domain for which an individual DNS server is responsible. Each zone contains a single SOA record.

For example: Movies, webcomics, videogames, songs, paintings, and any other diverse piece of fiction.
Contrary to popular belief, this idea is neither a positive nor negative idea, but still, it can be use for the creative expresion and the opportunity to make new and personal creations.
For example: Giving a story to a background character, making a comedic parody of a gritty-horror story, Making an imaginative non-official sequel or prequel...
And as said before, this works of fanfiction can be used for both great good and evil: Anybody can make a beutifull piece of art to detone their intrepretation of any work, or by the bad side, they can make porn of it. (Yes, porn is bad.)

Get the Death of the authormug. When an audience either applies 'Death of the Author' or goes against the personal desires of said author. Often while this person, group or company is still alive.
