AI Art

“Art” made by combining stolen images to make an image. The worst usage of Artificial Intelligence, where in an ideal scenario, AI would do things that are menial, repetitive, dangerous, while humans pursue more fulfilling careers like arts, sports, acting etc.

Not to be confused with something that is procedurally generated like a Minecraft world.

An excuse for billion dollar companies to lay off artists and actors (looking at you Activision).

AI bros, the ones defending this, really are just plainly jerks. They use tons of logical fallacies, rely on technicalities (like big companies trying to say “nuh huh” to the law), project themselves onto others and have a persecution complex, remind you, for stealing stuff, when they have (like everyone) the right equipment to do art (pencil, paper, hell even your mouse). It’s only at the detriment of artists. Big companies (the ones owning the AI) or small will use it. Just to cut costs. Apathy is the main issue. It’s easy to do nothing, everyone is guilty of that and it’s time we change that. (Also see “Philistine”)

PS: If you spend that much time on one “piece” why can’t you actually do it yourself?
AI Bro: Hey look at this AI Art I made.
Person B: Why can’t you do it yourself or commission an artist?
AI Bro: Well not everyone has the money for expensive drawing tablets. I just don’t have time.
Person B: You don’t need a drawing tablet to do art and you said this took you 60 hours.
AI Bro: Stop acting like a douche!
Person B: No need to steal from artists.
AI bro: Well technically, artists “copy” from other pieces of arts to do theirs.
Person B: You’re mistaking inspiration for plagiarism. While yes plagiarism has always existed, doesn’t make it any less ok, Generative AI will only make it worse.
AI bro: Well why can’t it just be a hobby?
Person B: Artists don’t have other industries to go to, usually with technological advancements people adapt and use their skills with it. But with AI, people will be laid off. For those where it is a hobby, I doubt they’d like to have their stuff stolen to make a profit, without compensation or consent. Artists, even before AI have constantly been screwed over, don’t blame them for that, blame those who do it.
AI Bro: Well like it or not it’s here to stay!
Person B: You can not do that and learn actual art if you were that into it.

AI Bro: Give me a break we constantly get death threats and you just constantly cope. I hope you loose your job.
Person B: I condemn threats, but that shouldn’t be a reason to dismiss what I’ve said because of some bad apples (nutpicking fallacy).
AI Bro: Well actually…

Art

Any object that is interesting enough for someone to call it so
Person A: *Is about to throw a bicycle wheel that got glue spilled over it into the dumpster*
Person B: Nooooo! Don't do that. It looks like a piece of art!
Person A: How the frick is this a piece of art? I didn't even put effort into it. I just spilled the glue accidentally.
Person B: I think it says something deep about how civilization pretends to spin around and look novel but it really has glue in its tracks and never really goes anywhere
Person A: Wauw, that is actually pretty deep. I should sell it to a rich art collector for $600.000. Don't you think?
Person B: Yeah, totally... No, I'm just kidding. It's worthless because you're not famous.

Person A: Fuck, I hate the art world... Also, what kinda absurd prank was that even?
Person B: It's my own work of performance art. It's called "(UNTITLED)" and you're on national television, buddy.
Person A: Please end my miserable existence already

art of fighting

Art of Fighting (龍虎りゅうこの拳けん, lit. "Fist of the Dragon and Tiger") is a trilogy of competitive fighting game titles that were released for the Neo Geo platform in the early 1990s. It was the 2nd fighting game franchise created by SNK, following the Fatal Fury series & is set in the same universe.

The original Art of Fighting was released in 1992, followed by two sequels: Art of Fighting 2 (龍虎りゅうこの拳けん 2ツー) in 1994 and The Path of the Warrior: Art of Fighting 3 (龍虎りゅうこの拳けん 外伝がいでん) in 1996. While no sequel has been produced since the 3rd game, the characters have survived through their inclusion in The King of Fighters series.

The games follow the struggles of the students of the Kyokugenryu Karate Dojo, Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia, in what appears to be the late seventies. Ryo is the son of the Kyokugen Karate discipline’s creator, Takuma Sakazaki, and Robert is the wayward son of a billionaire family from Italy. The initial 2 titles are set in Southtown, a common location in SNK games that is also the setting for the Fatal Fury series, while the 3rd appears to take place in a fictitious area of Mexico.

Liminal Menopause Art

Liminal Menopause Art, also known as LMA, is a unique genre of digital creativity emerging from the minds of boomers and older individuals. It thrives on the combination of bizarre greenscreen effects, outdated pop culture references, and a total disregard for aesthetics, all aimed at achieving a strange sense of humor.
Did you see Aunt Mildred's latest liminal menopause art on Instagram? She's riding a rubber chicken on a background of dancing frogs while blasting Christina Aguilera. Classic LMA!
