Sane Madman

Someone lost in an insane thought, yet are able to objectively look at it from a sane perspective.

Unlike an actual insane person, this person is able to fully come to their senses yet are still intrigued and brought back to the insane thought as it seems to make sense.

Person A: Look, I know the idea is fucking nuts but too much of it makes too much sense for it not to have some connection.
