When you like someone when you're talking to them over text but feel nothing towards them in person.
Hannah: You see I like Ryan when we're texting, but in person he's nothing like he is when we text.
Samantha: Girl, you're having a text message romance.

A man or boy that maintains pseudo - romantic relationships through text messaging. He rarely relies on any other form of communication. These men may have a hard time communicating over the phone or in person. This may also be a guy who is Just Not That Into You. The text message boyfriend may stem out of the myspace boyfriend category

something you become when someone asks for your phone number and never texts you to talk, only to send you those stupid chain text messages.
(chain texter):"FWD: FWD: send this to ten people in the next 10 minutes or you will never fall in love again."
(text receiver): "stop sending me those texts! im not your chain text bitch!!"

When a texter sends the first text, usually along the lines of "Hey what's up?? :)", this is known as the initiatory text. Through comparing the average number of initiatory texts sent by two participants to each other, an initiatory text ratio can be determined. The ITR is a clear indicator of who is the more interested of the two. If for every five initiatory texts you send, there is usually one in return, the ITR is 5:1 in the textee's favor, and you're just not in good shape. Ideally a 1:1 ratio is reached, but only in the most compatible of relationships. The ITR is on the same level of dependability as the theory of gravity itself.
"Dude, how are things going with Amanda???"
"Not good, the Initiatory Text Ratio is around 15:1, i might as well give up now,"
"I don't blame ya bro, the ITR never fails."

1. Sending what would be a twitter in the form of a text message.
2. Sending irrelevant texts for no apparent reason.

Rita: Just left the gym
Juan: Great...Why do I care?
Rita: Just thought I'd tell ya
Juan: Fantastic. I appreciate the twitter-text.
