steel reserve

Once only 'reserved' for bums, this dirt-cheap foul swine is now popular among the college crowd, too. Also known as 'blackout betty' or 'boo juice'. Make sure you don't have anything to do the next day because you will need it to recover. On the bright side, it's cheaper than bottled water. Don't drink too much becuase you will not remember anything (sometimes that can be a good thing, though).

Bob: "I went home with who?"
Jim: "Yeah, dude, she looked like Shrek."
Bob: "Friggin' Steel Reserve."

a group that heshe admires and wants to emulate; heshe shares their interests, attitudes, and social values.

Unfortunatly the reference group of the young slum-dweller is often one that turns himer towards crime.

self-referential "Daddy"

When a young unmarried man with no children refers to himself as "Daddy" with his friends or potential love interests to make himself seem cooler, wiser, and more authoritative. Used largely by men in their early to mid-20s.

"Daddy had a great day in the office and now he needs a scotch to celebrate. Why don't you go and get Daddy a drink?" (self-referential "Daddy")

Greek Referendum

Noun. An act of intense self-destruction. A suicidal act. Usually harms many people, not just the person committing the act. Often causes those witnessing the act to facepalm or exclaim in a loud voice "Why?".

Bob: "I'm going to ask a bunch of completely uninformed people to make all my decisions for me from now on. Leadership is too difficult!"
Sue: "Oh no Bob, not another Greek Referendum...."
