Social hackers prey upon the innocence of even the smartest and naivest of people, really want to know somebody’s password just asking for is that simple. Nine times out of 10 I’ll give it to you.

Counter-hacking

A form of grey-hat hacking where hackers hunt down and bust petty script kiddies and amateur black-hat hackers. Often implies contractor work or the use of honeypot traps to bring malicious hackers to justice.

Cap hacking

cap hacking is a phrase first used by gamers of the tf2 community during the bot crisis. When people would reset the server on certain casual maps that have been running a long time people often referred to this as cap hacking. As it would reset the ban list of the server after the round had ended and allow all bots/cheaters who have been vote kicked / banned during the duration of the server to join again.
