An oxygen dick will usually carry raptor sheers, a stethoscope and some type of adhesive you know for all the IV's they will establish...A oxygen dick is the backbone of Ems and they will tell you. They often fear they will no longer be needed with the invention of electric cpr devices. They have to justify there role in the health care community by making it known they are a emt. There days off typical consist of practicing cpr, reading the protocols for paramedics. Because you just never know when the paramedic might call upon them to educate them.

Thank god I worked with Oxygen DIck Bill today. I would have to apply oxygen with out them. They saved they day when I needed to start an IV, all because they had the adhesive on rapid attack.
