Tiffany epiphany

noun
A dramatic conclusion someone reaches after a single moment or observation, treating it as absolute truth without waiting for patterns, repetition, or enough evidence.
Often used humorously to call out when someone jumps to a full explanation after only one data point.
Example 1:
“Hold on, that’s a Tiffany epiphany. We’ve only seen it happen once.”
Example 2:
“He saw one mistake and suddenly had a whole Tiffany epiphany about her work ethic.”
Example 3:
“Don’t have a Tiffany epiphany — give it time and see if it becomes a pattern.”

Origin:
Coined during a conversation about thumb rings, assumptions, and the importance of the word “if.” The phrase humorously describes the opposite of patient pattern recognition
