An african american "rap star" made famous by his many online videos of his original songs. Most famous is "Crank dat soulja boy".
A perfect example of modern Hip-hip/gangsta rap/R & B/ just plain rap. Soulja Boy does this by following the simple laws of Hip Hop:
1: Thou shalt covet golds
2: Thou shalt tap "bitches" and "Hoes"
3: Thou shalt loudly proclaim your accomplisments of the earlier phrased by use of repetitive auxilary percusion (found on playschool pianos) or RAP
4: Thou shalt use the money, or golds to purchase more bitches and hoes
5: Repeat the above untill shot or arrested.

He started a new generation of hiphop and for that he SHOULD have millions of haters like the people that dog him on Urban Dictionary. He's mostly reaching out to the younger people. Ages watever to 19. But look at him...he has 60 year olds doin his dances and singin his songs. C'mon, when was the last time you saw A rapper on NBC, The View, Primetime... He's doin good for him self and his family. I'm Pretty Sure He's not worried about these dusty MCs that devote the little time they have left on this earth to HATE on Soulja Boy. REALITY CHECK...GET OFF HIS NUTS!!

He Actually started off as a regular "Youtuber" and was signed to Stacks On Deck/Collipark/HHH/Interscope Records.
He was a clown in school and he's a clown now at the age of 19.
He has his own shoe and clothing line called YUMS. It looks similar to the old Wal-Mart Smiley.
Obama and yo probably danced or will dance to Crank Dat at some point in their lives.
