A person or persons who comment in blogs, make friend requests in online communities like myspace.com, or post bulletins on online communities with the sole purpose of pushing their website, band, or business.

A person on myspace sends you a friend request. You open that person's profile and find a link or meta refresh to a website containg pornography or band paraphernalia.

"I just got ten blogstitute requests on myspace."

A a common acronym, or word that is used in blogs or forums, but not quite on too many social networking sites or aim.

Usually used to shorten a comment that would normally take too long, and they're a lot easier to use, especially since the phrase the acronym is for is stated often.
