multi-boot ego

An over-inflated ego, caused by the assumption of superiority by someone who runs multiple operating systems.
Thad: Quit being a marketing tool, tool. You did not join some special club or quit being lame when you paid three times more for your computer. You know most PC can run MAC OS now right? And you know why nobody does? Cause it sucks. And I use Win7, Ubuntu, and Mac OS so don't even try it!

David: Well, somebody's got a case of the multi-boot ego!

Boot-shining crazy

A person, idea, thought, belief, government or other concept, system or organization that is domineering in manner, arrogant or otherwise overbearing or obsessively concerned with seemingly minor perceived slights or infractions.

The phrase is believed to have first emerged in the armed forces as an insult used to described officers who make excessive fuss over minor matters such as not shining ones boots thoroughly enough.

The term has since gained widespread acceptance outside of the military and can be found in common usage amongst many English speaking populations around the globe.
