Among Us' demise was due to the Gatekeeper's Paradox - the creation of two caucuses: "Stop saying sus" and "Only true players get this."

Gatekeeping

The act of controlling participation in a certain group or culture, it is becoming increasingly common in the punk subculture where some "punks" claim that you can't be punk if you're conservative, despite not understanding that punk doesn't care about left or right, but it's more to do with challenging the status quo irrespective of who's in power. Long story short, it leans more towards anarchy. In the Metal Community, many individuals whi listen to extreme metal will call those who listen to glam metal or hard rock gay or say it's pussy music and those who listen to them are not allowed to listen to extreme metal. Myself personally, I like to have the best of all worlds.

Gatekeeping is for idiots.

Gatespreading

The act of taking up multiple seats by a single person at an airport gate. Usually a passive-aggressive assortment of bags, food, or body parts. Eye-contact is rarely made.

Gasterbating

A term that is commonly used among gooners, where you are gaslighting people online with false information or 10/10 ragebait and pleasuring yourself to their reactions. This is commonly used in social media platforms such as reddit, twitter (mainly), and instagram.

Peak gasterbaters have content farms with bots sending 100s of false information on post, or just normies that just want people to rage.

Gateless

To be sitting in an airport with a boarding pass, and having no announced gate to go to.

Our flight is supposed to leave in 30 minutes but they haven't announced a gate. We are gateless.
