Some idiots that like to spread rumors say that Hot Topic is affiliated with The GAP. Of course, seeing as how there is no proof of this what-so-ever, if you confront this idea to any employees at either Hot Topic or The GAP, they will be baffled at your assumption.
Not everyone who shops at Hot Topic is a poser. Some of us just shop there to get stuff from the bands we like, such as Sublime, ICP, Deftones, etc. Or just to get Faygo 'cuz that's the only place around here the sells it.

Hot Topic sells a variety of band shirts, shirts with jokes, etc. They also sell funny buttons or bumber stickers. In addition they sell jewelry (not all got or punk or emo!), family guy merchandise, and anime stuff...Mostly inuyasha or fma.
