Festival Rules

Festival rules are called by a couple BEFORE arriving at any large public gathering (concert, music festival, sporting event, etc.) Both must agree that Festival rules apply. Once agreed, the first person to see someone they know must call them by name and get a mutual acknowledgement that you do, in fact, know each other. You MUST know the person's name, and they must know yours. If you are the first to win, you get to name your prize, usually your favorite sexual position or favor.

A couple agrees to Festival Rules on the way to state fair. At the fair he sees an old friend and calls her name. The friend acknowledges him. He wins sexual favor for the evening.

Fester Fuck (n): A cluster fuck of a situation that one ignores until either, (a) the conditions of the situation begin to fester like a wound smelling of geriatric diapers and almonds, or (b) it becomes an unmitigated chunderstorm.

That hoarder's place up the street is literally rotting under a 10 year layer of broken dreams and apathy. It is an absolute fester fuck over there.

A festikid is someone who lives on unemployment and spends what little money he/she has on festivals (e.g. Sasquatch, Burning Man, Coachella etc.) all year round.

Mark: So what do you do?

Julie: I work at an IT startup in SF. What about you?

Mark: Well, after I graduated Cal I was an activist. But now I'm just living on unemployment and being a festikid.

Julie: A festikid?

Mark: Yeah man, it's the 2000s, that's what our generation does.
