Get the autistic eye contact mug.Being so mind-blind as an autistic person that you totally miss the intended meaning of something someone else says, especially when they use irony or sarcasm, or you join a conversation and blurt out something stupid or offensive because you didn't realize what they were _actually_ talking about, or you laugh at a joke that wasn't a joke, or you don't notice it when someone is making mad love-eyes at you. Essentially, a complete failure to read between the lines or to read the room or to read expressions.
OMG I feel so stupid. I was at a party and I was telling someone about a book I'd read. They'd say stuff like "How fascinating," and so I'd tell them more and more, and then finally they said, "Hey, I need to go to the bathroom real quick, you wait here." After a long time passed, I realized they were never coming back. I guess they were being sarcastic about it being fascinating. I feel so autisthick.
